I've been taking photographs continuously now for about 20 years, taking it up again after my children left home.
I love to be out with my camera. It is my eye on my world. I love the way it frames things, creating composition after composition - I know when it's right as soon as I line it up and click. It's very rarely the second take.
All this time I have been painting, and now the two run alongside and complement each other. My painting work has become increasingly abstract.
I am inspired by the landscape around me, particularly the Royd Edge valley next to where I live in Meltham.
